Church of Christ in Prague 5

Simply Christian

According to the Bible, the group of people who followed Jesus and had Him as their Lord and Savior were called “Christians” (Acts 11:26; Acts 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16). They were added to the church that Jesus built (Matthew 16:18). They were not added to a denomination, such as one that exists today, but instead, they were simply called Christians.

Some religious groups trace their founding to a man like many of the reformers of the past. Others may be found in a more contemporary theologian. Some even may see their authority coming from outside of the Bible, such as man-made books, or even from their feelings. But at the Kristova obec Praha 5, we believe in following the pattern that we find in the Bible. Like the early church, we too can be simply Christian. We focus on studying the Bible and following the pattern we find. Such as how to become a Christian, how to worship God, how to live our life, raise our families, and more.

Our goal is to go back to the Bible and do it the way the Christians did it in the New Testament. We hope you consider joining us in our study of scripture and how followers of Christ were simply Christian. No more, no less.
